I was looking for the simplest holster I could find. I didn't want any clips or belt loops, only something to protect and securely hold my pistol when it's in a bag, my pocket, or even inside my pants. I ordered two A417-Bart.sk - COMFORT (or A117 Black-hawk) Pocket leather holsters: one for my Taurus 817 - .38 SPL; the other for my S&W 686-plus .357 Mag. In my opinion, these guns are too bulky and heavy for pocket carry, and I should add that my intention was simply to find a way to store them in the safe, saving space and avoiding contact with other guns. However, I found that these holsters are much thinner, more practical and suitable than the A817 pocket nylon holster I have for my Ruger LCR, so I will soon be ordering an A117 for this gun and for true pocket carry. In short, I am truly satisfied with the cut, appearance and functionality of these holsters, which also allow the weapons to be carried in a bag or stored in a home safe.
