Leather IWB/OWB Optics-Ready Universal Holster

This was a perfectly fitting holster for my Girsan/AAC MC1911SC Ultimate with a Viridian green dot optic on board. The finish and quality of the construction are top notch. Recommend this product!

Paterson - Timeless OWB Leather Holster with Open-top for Guns with Lasers or Lights

I'll give it 3.5 Stars because the quality is very good. That being said, this is the stiffest leather holster I've ever purchased. As a retired Police Officer with almost 25 yrs of experience, so I've had many types of holster, with many being leather, so I grade from a position of experience. I used all the tricks, denatured alcohol, two thick plastic bags on the pistol, over 24 hours of set up time for break in. After all that it's still took more work, to get this holster where the draw was smooth and reliable. It took multiple treatments of denatured alcohol, 72 hours of set up time, and over 100 draw strokes to get this holster to the point where I can use it for carry and be confident that I can draw without the pistol hanging up. I ordered from Falco because they are the only company I could find an OWB leather holster with the variety of options for light bearing pistols. It will ultimately do the the job and hopefully the break in while wearing it day to day will be much easier than the initial break in, just to get the pistol to draw smoothly.

First, the holster. It is a fantastic holster. I bought mine in saddle brown, and it looks great. The leather is thick and stiff, and will hold it's shape forever. With the right belt, it won't slide around and will stay put. Second, my weapon in the holster. I have a Walther with a 5 inch barrel and a light. The holster was really tight when it first came. So tight I almost couldn't get the gun into it. When I did because of the longer slide and weapon light, the holster had a lot of contact. It was hard to get out. The solution was to use plastic ziploc bags. I have had to use two bags to get it to stretch enough. Sometimes ziploc bags with wax paper also. This has worked, but after two months I still need to use the bags. When I secure the holster on my belt it adds more tension onto the gun. However, this is a great holster, I'm glad I bought it, and would buy it again.

Stable Easy on IWB Leather Holster

Great workmanship! My only complaint is with the belt clips. They are too tight and getting them on the belt is a huge struggle. Next time I'm going with the A213 Caracara again. The straps are a lot easier then the clips to use.

First, the holster. It is a fantastic holster. I got the saddle brown finish, and it is beautiful. The leather is thick and will definitely hold it's shape for a long time. The finish should also hold up very well. I have always liked the look and feel of leather for off duty and wanted to stay with it. Second, my weapon for reference. A Walther PDP full size with the 5 inch barrel. A TLR-1 light and Holosun red dot. Now, the weapon in the holster. When I first got the holster it was so tight I barely got the gun into it. The design of the holster is that the slide of the gun is completely enclosed. This increases the surface area the holster grabs, also the longer slide with the 5 inch barrel and the light. I did all the tricks to help break it in. What has helped is wrapping the gun in two ziploc bags. After two months, it is much better, but still a little difficult to pull once it is cinched onto a belt. However, this is a great holster, I'm glad I bought it, and would definitely buy it again.

I own three leather holsters from Falco. They are by far the most comfortable and well fitting.. I also own holsters from other well known makers, they are sitting in a drawer unused. The Falco holsters are more comfortable and keep the handgun comfortably against my body.
