Duty Leather Holster for Gun with Light

The stitching is very tight and the use of Safriland compatible hardware makes it nice to use with gear I already own.

Finding a holster for the Python was a challenge. I have several makes of holsters for other handguns, but this was my first from Falcoholsters. Upon arrival the holster was clearly one of the very best I have ever received. The material was pliable without being soft; sturdy without being stiff; and fit perfectly with very little break-in. It is spectacular.

Holster was a little stiff and tight at first but after some massaging, it loosened up nicely. Perfect fit. Worth the wait. I highly recommend Falco Holsters.

A great design. I enjoy having the beauty of leather combined with a quicker draw from leather.

Does not even come close to fitting my Browning 1911-380 w/crimson trace laser. I don’t understand why it is even advertised for this firearm. It will for my wife’s Browning 1911-380 compact w/o tail or laser, but that’s not what I ordered it for.

Good quality material and will take a bit of time to break in but need more stiffness or bracing behind the thumb break which has too much in it for a quick release.

Very nice holster with a few flaws. I ordered this for a CZ SP-01 Tactical (decocker). And it came and is a solid Falco holster, but the leather strap only fits over the gun's hammer in the completely down, or hammer up position only. For a gun with a decocker, I thought it would come standard for the strap to fit over the decocked hammer. Next time, I know I need to order custom for this. My other bummer point is that the top of the holster (barrel area) is a bit looser than I would like and allows a lot of side-to-side movement, but this is partial because the light is wider than the gun. Just something to be aware of. It's plenty snug when snapped shut though. DO BE AWARE that it IS possible to pull the trigger while the holster is snapped shut! It's very difficult and would take a bad guy miracle to actually do, but it is possible.

Overall I'm satisfied, but I think maybe I'd be looking at Kydex next time due to these shortcomings. Though, I'm always thrilled with build quality and know that it'll last, I just know that it will need replacing in the future. Thank you for making a holster that fits my gun with a light though!

It is apparent from the finished product that the holster maker did not have gun to work from to shape the holster. The thumb snap will not close over the hammer spur as it is suppose to and not because it is too short but because it is not positioned correctly. The end of the barrel does not line up with the bottom hole in the holster but sits down about 1/2 to 3/4 inches, in others words the revolver sits in the holster out of alignment. My best guess is that the holster maker did not account for the top picatinny rail that the optic is mounted to and has thrown everything off. Will send pictures if you like so you can see for yourself.
