The roto holster by Falco is the best thing to happen to me! As I’m 70 , waring a paddle holster on my belt is a problem for me , it weighs on my hip irritating, my sciatic nerve, with the Falco roto holster it loops around the belt on right and left sides keeping the weight off my hips , as I ware both my Glock 30 ln my paddle holster and my shoulder roto holster for my Springfield 1911 , waring them all day is a breeze ! Shoud give it zero stars. Bought the three holsters in one order for my HKP30Sk. A pocket one, roto-shoulder, and nylon IWB. None of them fits properly, none of them covers the trigger guard. The’re sacandal rather than holstes.

Haven’t used or seen it used as I bought it as a gift for my Son. Very excited to see how it fits him. Seems high quality. Great shipping communication & speed.

I was able to fine tune customize my holster to my pistol/light/red dot sight. And everything is elegant.

Received the item in timely manner. Excellent quality. After some adjustments for fit, very impressed. Will be adding more orders.

Quality of the shoulder holster is great and I recieved it in a timely manner. The only thing wrong is I can't find denatured alcohol in California to break the holster into my gun. (very tight fit) I'm going to see if I can order it on line but don't know if they will ship to California or not. Any suggestions?

This is one of the most comfortable holster's I've ever purchased. Having switched from carrying my full sized 1911 from my hip onto the shoulders was the best choice I could of made. I've been wearing it for a little over a week now and can say that this holster makes carrying that hefty chunk of metal so much more enjoyable. I've also been wearing a backpack over it as I need to commute via public transport a lot and there's been no issues of it getting in the way at all. I wholeheartedly would recommend this holster to anyone looking for something more comfortable if appendix or the side of the hip isn't your thing. Though I highly recommend practicing how to draw from this holster. It's a whole different beast than pulling it up from your hip. Having to use that pointer finger to unlatch your firearm free takes some getting used to.

After breaking the holster in I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I was a little skeptical at first to spend this money on a company i was unfamiliar with especially with it being leather. After using the bag technique and the holster being broke in I was very impressed with the quality and functionality. I can now carry my 1911 all day with out cinching my belt down on my waist as long as i have a flannel. It did take me about two days to figure out how to get the holster adjusted properly, once that was figured out this quickly became my favorite form of carry. I give my shoulder roto holster 5/5

This is my second shoulder holster. The first was from a different well-known leather holster company and was uncomfortable and not as easily adjustable. The Falco holster looks great (the leather is finished on both sides, not just the front). It is very comfortable and easy to adjust. I can wear it all day without experiencing pains in my neck and back (unlike my first shoulder holster). I will definitely look to Falco when I need additional products.

I always wanted a shoulder holster, once you get it adjusted to fit you correctly it is very comfortable. Very easy to pull your gun out with the rotation of the holster. This is my 4th custom holster from Falco. Once the leather forms to your firearm.. it's a great holster. Leather needs a couple days to break in. Use the plastic bag method!!

I needed a holster for my new winter carry, Sig 320XTen. Falco is one of the few companies that even makes holsters for that pew, which I believe speaks to their experience making holsters. The holster is incredibly comfortable and easy to adjust. This baby makes it possible to walk around with 45 rounds of 10mm under a vest, and none is the wiser! Highly recommend. If not for the practicality, you can at least join the group of dudes whose dads didn't love them enough and now we have shoulder holsters. #1911gang

Very nice holster for the money. The only problem I had was when I placed the online order and paid with PayPal I didn't receive a Invoice or confirmation of the order. I Tried 2 times to contacted them with no response. Other then that very pleased.

I really like the shoulder holster. I carry a Colt US Government .380. The Magazine holders straps were way too long, I wnt to Tandy's an added 2 snaps to shorten the retainer straps so the magazines wouldn't fall out. I also found the belt loop on the magazine holder side to be too Lon. I am at the very last set of holes to make it fit. Other than that I really like the Holster.

Well med. Very tight initially but with some work was able to get gun in. Roto works well and is a nice feature. Main complaint is holster does not fully cover trigger guard and no strap to secure firearm in holster.

Ordered in Black with the break in kit. Falco means what they say about their holsters needing break in. You MUST use the break in fluid or denatured alcohol to get a pistol to fit in the holster. The plastic bag method really works. The holster was so tight I initially thought I was going to have a problem. But, I had read the procedure beforehand - and following the instructions worked! So, getting the pistol and magazines in - getting everything stretched - I allowed a couple of days.

Now, getting it to fit my body... I am 5ft 8in and 184lbs. (172cm, 84kg). I wear a 16.5in x 34in dress shirt and 44R jacket. At age 62 I am about 4lbs above the US Army max weight for 40+ year old male. My hands are small. I used up all of the adjustment and then one notch more so there is extra leather past the adjustment on the shoulder straps. And the shortest possible adjustment on the holster (left side) and similar short adjustment on the magazine side.

A shoulder holster for a Glock 19G5 is an adjustment for me. After a week of wearing it to the office and out to lunch I am still feeling it. but it carries well. I have not yet been to a range where I can draw and fire. But, in a car or sitting I have access to the pistol. I have not yet gotten accustomed to the retainer snap. It is still a two step process for me to unsnap then draw. I can not grasp the pistol grip and reach the snap with my index finger.

Another difficulty is the reach to the spare magazines. Getting the first one is at the limits of my reach while wearing a sport coat or suit jacket. For me (and my torso size and arm length) reaching the second magazine a problem. The reality is that if I am even in a situation where I need a second spare magazine I should probably already have my 9mm PC carbine in hand. The spare magazines can be more easily reached with my right/strong hand (but this is problematic for fast mag change). I'm thinking a better design for the mag carrier would be to have the opening facing front instead of down. But downward facing makes for easier tie-down to the belt.

The leather work on this holster is very good. The product is exactly as represented by Falco. Holsters are very personally specific. What works for one person may not work at all for another. I will wear this daily until it is broken in; and I become broken in (adjust to the new paradigm). I will need to spend some time drawing and reholstering so I can do it without looking, in the dark, with cold and wet hands. Even if my reach to spare mags is not idea, the counter balance effect of 2 full mags is a good thing. It will take some practice and some break in to quickly fasten the tie downs to my belt. I find it is very fast to don the holster by just picking up the rig, hold in over my head with my arms straight up and letting it drop in place.

If suit coat and sport coats are tailored, or just fit well of the rack, they will be tight when wearing this rig. The easy solution is to just leave them unbuttoned.

This is a very traditional shoulder holster rig made of very traditional materials with very traditional craftsmanship. Some things just can not be improved with batteries, lights and wifi. This is one of them.

I am disapointed by the lack of gun retention. When I do cartwheels and summersaults the gun slips from the holster. I am fearful that when performing parkour the gun will slip out.

The unit as a whole is a master piece of beauty and, adjusts and functions perfectly.

I found it beneficial to break-in the outer shell of the rotating holster. By alcohol wetting the shell and rotating the holster (with gun) to stretch the end of the shell, I was able to rotate it further down to about 50 degrees from verticle.

Over all, for my weapon, it is good. I would suggest it to my friends.

The fit and finish of the holster is excellent! It did take some break-in using the "Care Kit" and the speed-loader pouches were problematic. The speed-loader pouches had to be extensively broken in to allow Safariland Comp II speed-loaders to to be used. However, once broken in, HKS speed-loaders inserted and extracted easily and without issue.

The retaining strap took an excessive amount of stretching to reach around the Ruger GP-100. It was easy to tell that a GP-100, or mock-up GP-100 had not been used to measure the retaining strap length. Once the strap was stretched to a suitable length, a Smith and Wesson Model 686 inserted easily into the holster and the retaining strap more easily secured the holster.

The Roto-Shoulder Holster is an excellent concept. I like it so much that I had ordered one for my 1911 pistols and one for my Glock G20 pistol.

Straps quality could be improved further.
All others are quite fine and present excellent quality and carful handcrafting.

This holster design derives from the genius of Chic Gaylord. I was happy to find a company that makes such a holster. Alessi used to make a shoulder holster with an inner scabbard that could rotate within an outer scabbard, but they have gone out of business. Unfortunately, this Falco holster has a serious design flaw that becomes painfully apparent as soon as one tries it on with a revolver in the holster. The sharp corners of the rear gunsight and the hammer are not covered by this Falco design as they are by the Alessi and the original Chic Gaylord designs. As a result the inner side of ones elbow on the carry side contacts those sharp edges continually. One could avoid the abrasion of his elbow with a cover garment, but the cover garment would soon be shredded. This flaw could easily be corrected by extending the outer scabbard upward to enclose the sharp metal corners of the rear sight and hammer. Another problem is that the safety strap is way too short to snap over my S&W Model 500. I hope that Falco will listen to my suggestions as they have a well made product and quality materials. The design flaws are, however, fatal. I would not recommend this holster to a friend as it is currently being made. James Byrne, Rapid City, SD, USA.

I ordered a D603 shoulder holster for my S&W Model 500 X Frame revolver with 4 inch barrel (order #54171).

The holster is too small. The top of the holster is approximately 0.875 inch from the outside of the rear sight fastening screw on the rail and leaves approximately 0.75 inch of the cylinder exposed. The retaining strap won't fasten, because it is approximately 0.75 inch too short.

The holster is snug, and the end of the barrel is completely inside the holster, as it should be. The end of the barrel is approximately 0.375 inch from the end of the holster, and it does not protrude from the end of the holster.

How do I resolve this?

First off, the build quality on this holster is amazing. The design is cleaver, but problematic.

The negative:
The strap retention release is on the side of the trigger finger. In the US, we expect the release to be on the side of the thumb. Not a real problem, as it can be addressed with training.

And the fatal flaw.
When you rotate and draw from the holster, if you have any downward pressure on the handgun, the holster gets pressed into the sleeve. This causes the front sight to dig into the holster and massively increase the force necessary to draw the gun. This is an absolute deal breaker for CCW.
