Although I was not fond of kydex holsters (due to the sensation of their contact with the skin and the sound they make when drawing the weapon) and prefer leather holsters, I have to admit that they have clear advantages over leather holsters: they allow for the construction of thinner holsters (and therefore more discreet use) and are certainly more durable, as well as being easier to maintain and clean. So I finally decided to order a Kydex holster for my Ruger LCR and I am truly delighted with it. Thin, discreet, with excellent retention, I can use it in my usual 4 o'clock position or crossdraw. What's more, I think I can reverse the position of the clip and try using it in the 6 o'clock position (small of the back). Truly fit and suitable for concealed carry. It will certainly be the holster I use the most, at least until FALCO offers a Kydex pocket holster for this gun. 5 stars!

I ordered this holster for my Taurus 817 - 7 shots - .38 SPL, with the intention of using it at the shooting range. It is clearly suitable for this purpose, as I have already verified. It allows for quick and easy drawing and reholstering of the weapon, and ensures a reasonable and sufficient fit (although the retention of the weapon does not seem as solid as it would be if it were made entirely of Kydex). The curved cut allows for greater comfort on the hip, as well as facilitating the placement and removal of the belt.

I ordered two A417-Bart.sk - COMFORT (or A117 Black-hawk) Pocket leather holsters: one for my Taurus 817 - .38 SPL; the other for my S&W 686-plus .357 Mag. In my opinion, these guns are too bulky and heavy for pocket carry, and I should add that my intention was simply to find a way to store them in the safe, saving space and avoiding contact with other guns. However, I found that these holsters are much thinner, more practical and suitable than the A817 pocket nylon holster I have for my Ruger LCR, so I will soon be ordering an A117 for this gun and for true pocket carry. In short, I am truly satisfied with the cut, appearance and functionality of these holsters, which also allow the weapons to be carried in a bag or stored in a home safe.

This is a good but expensive holster. The sweat guard is much too long and isn’t in alignment with the gun. I would recommend no sweat guard at all. It’s very bulky and uncomfortable. Besides that, after enough time for the leather to break in and conform to your body, it’s a decent light bearing holster.

Hate leaving a bad review but I was asked too leave a review via email. It's kinda flimsy. Leather is pretty thin. Holster has zero retention without the strap snapped and feels like my revolver can fall out unless I use both hands to un snap the strap. If you think you might want to keep your firearm accessible, unsnapped for a quick draw while hiking in bear country or tracking an animal, you can't because your gun might fall out bending over or moving quickly. I bought this for hiking and hunting. I thought it would be a less expensive alternative than the Diamond D guides choice. My mistake. It will work for back up hunting white tail or 4 wheeler when I doubt I'll need my gun for anything other than plinking. I wouldn't recommend it if you think you may need to carry for self defense in back country. Useable but not what I was hoping for.

The holster is very well made. Issues were that for my Glock 29, the lowest edge of the holster and magazine extension uncomfortably dug into my thigh while seated, and what's a cross-draw holster for if not to make driving while carrying comfortable. I mitigated the issue by sanding 1/4" off the lowest edge (there was too much extra plastic there) and flipping the belt loops upside down, which raised the holster about 3/8". It's much better now.

Perfect ride height on the thigh. Great fit for the gun. Crisp smooth active restraint mechanism. No more interference with waist band on backpacks in the backcountry. Love it.

I've purchased this holster for a Ruger RXM with an extended barrel and tlr1 hlx, Canik TP9 Elite SC and Cz P10C ported with a tlr7 hlx. The quality of the holsters is top notch and they are the most comfortable holster ive owned. There were discrepancies with my first order but Falco went above and beyond to make it right, at their own expense. All my future holsters will be Falco.

I absolutely love my new holster for my Colt Anaconda 4 inch with red dot. Fits like a glove and is very comfortable. Thumb break has nice tightness but is not hard to snap.

I love the holster, comfortable, only wished the belt loop was the width of the holster to keep the gun handle closer to the waist and not sticking too far out, visible under the shirt. I added a belt loop to the butt end of the holster to fix that issue. Gun with Streamlight fit was spot on!

Buy it! Im so glad i did nothing i have seen compares to the quality and comfort. I added all the extras i had on my gun and specified the model of light and compensator i have and it fit like a glove!!! I would definitely buy this again and i will be referring everyone i know that conceal carries!

My search is finally over! While I tried a few Kydex holsters, I was never completely satisfied with the comfort of leather, not to mention its quiet draw and re-holstering benefits. The Falco Livingston - Timeless Tuckable Leather Light-Bearing Holster For Concealed Carry is the only custom leather holster I could find that accommodates both the TLR 7X light and the Holosun SCS optics mounted on my Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 9mm Metal Full Size. The quality and craftsmanship of this holster is above and beyond my expectations. The break-in was easy, and the fit and retention are perfect. My previous custom leather holster for my old .45 was handmade by a gentleman who retired several years ago, and that holster is still in use by the new owner after over 20 years. Given that my new Falco holster is of equal, if not better, quality, I expect it should last many years with proper care as well.
